Barry A. Eveler

September 8, 1962 - May 13, 2018

Barry A. Eveler, of York, entered into God's care on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at York Hospital at 9:31 am at the age of 55. He was the husband of Tamara J. (Lee) Eveler of York to whom he married on August 20, 1981, soon to have celebrated 37 years together. He was the son of the late Samuel F. and Mettie J. (Smith) Eveler. After graduating from the former York County Vocational Technical School, class of 1981 he joined the Airforce, devoting 11 years to serving his country. He worked for Rutter's for 23 years in computer administration and then he was a clerk at the Spring Grove Post Office. Besides his loving wife, Tamara, he leaves his two daughters, Sara M. Soler and her husband Robert of York and Nicole L. Wolf and her husband Victor of Thomasville. He was the proud grandfather to Chase Soler, Victor Wolf, Jr., Lucas Soler, Makayla Wolf and Kaiden Soler. Barry has six siblings, his identical twin, Larry Eveler of Red Lion, Sam Eveler, Jr. of York, Nanci Blevins of West Virginia, Roger Herman, Tadd Schnetzka and Linda Herman of York along with aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and his mother in law, Jaynee Lee of Hellam. He was preceded in death by his father in law, Leslie Lee. Viewing will be on Thursday, May 17th from 10-11 am at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service to Honor and Praise Barry's life will begin at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. David D. Tietje, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ in Red Lion will be officiating. Burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery with full military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. He enjoyed spending time with his family and being involved in his grandchildren's activities. He played softball with the BUMS, was a Baltimore Oriole's fan and Dallas Cowboy fan. I am the snowflake that kisses your nose, I am the frost, that nips your toes. I am the sun, bringing you light, I am the star, shining so bright and I am the thoughts inside your head. Until we see you again, in our hearts forever.
