Brenda G. (Hollerbush) Gladfelter

March 21, 1944 - February 26, 2022

Brenda G. (Hollerbush) Gladfelter, of Red Lion, entered the gates of heaven on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 2:29 pm, at her residence, surrounded by her family at the age of 77. She was the loving wife of Robert E. Gladfelter of Red Lion to whom she married on February 16, 1963, celebrating 59 years together. She was born in Huntington, WV on March 21, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Melvin and Myrtle (Scruggs) Hollerbush. Brenda graduated from West York High School, Class of 1962. She worked at Graphic Services and then Gichner in Dallastown before starting the business, “Wood and More”, with her husband that she ran for 35 years at Roots Country Market in Lancaster and other locations. She enjoyed going to flea markets and spending time with family and good friends. Brenda and Robert have a son, Scott Gladfelter and wife Kate of Red Lion, a grandson, Daniel Gladfelter and wife Mercedes of Glen Rock, a great grandson, Silas Gladfelter, and a brother, Michael Hollerbush of Dover along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Barry Hollerbush and sister, Dena Arnold. Viewing for Brenda will be on Thursday, March 3rd, from 6-7 pm at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise will begin at 7 pm at the funeral home with Rev. David D. Tietje, pastor of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Red Lion, officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
