Donald L. Sachs, Jr., of Red Lion, passed from this earthly life to Life Eternal on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 12:20 am at Hospice and Community Care of Mt. Joy at the age of 63. He was the former husband of Carol (Wolinski) Lopez of Baltimore, MD, with whom he shared 30 years together. He was born in Baltimore, MD on October 1, 1957, and was the son of the Connie (Conway) Sachs and the late Donald L. Sachs, Sr. Don graduated from Kenwood High School Class of 1975. Following graduation, he entered into the United States Navy, serving until 1979. He attended college and received his certificate in Drafting. Don loved music and was a great musician who enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica, as well as karaoke and fishing. He was a Christian and a member of the Red Lion American Legion Post # 543. He was a very special man who loved his family and friends. Throughout his life he touched the lives of many others in ways he may have never known. Besides his mother, Connie, and his former wife, Carol, he is survived by his sister, Renee Whelehan and her husband, Jack, of Baltimore, MD, two brothers, Gregory Sachs and his wife, Christy, of Baltimore, MD and Drew Sachs of Ocean City, as well as his cherished friend, Joe Zhang. Friends and family will miss him greatly. Services will be provided by Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Graveside Service to Honor and Praise Don’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 17th at 1:00 PM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors. For all attending the service, please meet at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery located at 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA 17003.
