E. Lucille (Leiphart) Crumling

E. Lucille (Leiphart) Crumling, of East Prospect, at the age of 96, peacefully accepted the hand of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 7:22am at her residence with family by her side. She was the wife of the late Glenn E. Crumling who entered eternal rest on August 9, 2000. Lucille was born in Lower Windsor Township on August 31, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Luther and Martha (Bayman) Leiphart. She was a very active life member of Zion United Methodist Church in East Prospect where she was involved in the Women’s Missionary. She was actively involved in the church until recent years. Lucille was the Cafeteria Manager at Canadochly Elementary School for 40 years, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles, working outdoors, gardening, was a wonderful cook, an avid card player and Phillies fan. Lucille was a very faithful and devoted Christian who started her mornings by reading her bible every day, but most of all, she was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She and Glenn have four children, Tara L. Shultz and her husband, Roger, of York, Cindy A. White and her husband, Ron, of Norcross, GA, Carey L. Crumling and his wife, Mary, of Hanover and Jeffrey A. Crumling of Red Lion. She was the grandmother of ten grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Lucille leaves her only sister, S. Delores Leiphart Abel, of York, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Eric J. Crumling, on September 15, 1998, her daughter in law, Crystal, on April 10, 2016 and granddaughter in law, Amy C. Crumling, on July 18, 2016. The Service to Honor and Praise the life of Lucille will be on Monday, November 22nd at 11 AM at Zion United Methodist Church, 1 N. Main Street, East Prospect. A viewing will begin at 10 AM until the start of the service. Her pastor, Rev. James E. Lewis will officiate, along with Rev. Frank N. Miller, retired United Methodist pastor. Burial will be in East Prospect Riverview Cemetery. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, will be assisting the family with the arrangements. Masks are optional within the church. Remembering you will always be easy, we’ll do it every day, but the ache in our hearts will never go away.
