Gerald E. Buser

Gerald E. Buser, of York, passed from this life to start his Eternal Life with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 7:00am at his home on his farm with his loving wife by his side at the age of 74. He was the husband of Joyce E. (Newcomer) Buser to whom he married on June 14, 1969, sharing 53 years of marriage. Gerald was born in York on April 22, 1947 and was the son of the late William C. and Viola M. (Daugherty) Buser. He was a self-employed farmer and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, telling stories and reminiscing. Gerald was a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau and Goram Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he leaves his daughters, Tammy S. Keller and husband, John, of York and April L. Buser, of York. He also leaves his son, Christopher E. Buser and wife, Rebecca, of York, as well as his five grandchildren, Amanda M. Sipes, Dustin A. Keller, Dylan M. Keller, Isaac A. Buser and Luke E. Buser, as well as his two great grandchildren, Brody W. Sipes and Savannah M. Sipes, all of York. He is survived by his sister, Vivian Raab and brother, Paul Buser, both of York, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, William S. Buser, his sister, Linda E. Leber and nephew, Rich A. Buser. A viewing for Gerald will be on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 10am -12pm at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A service of Honor and Praise for Gerald will begin at 12pm with Pastor Jason Keenan, of Goram Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
