Mabel M.E. Warner

November 27, 1918 - October 6, 2016

Mabel M. E. (Saylor) Warner, of York, formerly of Brogue, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home at the age of 97. She was the wife of the late Clair "Jack" Warner, whom entered into rest on June, 1998. She was born in East Hopewell Twp. on November 27, 1918 and was the daughter of the late Lawrence M. and Sally B. (Mitzel) Saylor. Mabel was a homemaker and a member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church for 88 years where she served as Secretary of Mothers Bible Class. She was a member of AARP; York County Fiddlers Association; past Vice President of Women's Auxiliary; Secretary of Farm Women Group #12; past President of Sally Saylor's Family Reunion; and past member of Dreamer Camper Club. Mabel leaves to cherish her memory her 6 children, Betty M. Grove of York, Carrie C. Palmieri and her husband Ron Hostler of Red Lion, Sandra E. Corbett and her husband Lane of Airville, Gerald "Rick" Warner, Sr. and his wife Susan of York, Emory D. Warner and his wife Eva of Brogue, Bryan L. Warner of Vicksburg; 15 grandchildren, Dennis Grove, Dorinda Grove, Mark Grove, John Warner, Tammy Warner, Sundra Palmieri, Angelo Palmieri, Lane Corbett, II, Bronson Corbett, Tara Corbett, Paul Warner, Rebecca Warner, JR Warner, Jody Dunlap, Steven Dunlap; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her 3 sons, Robert E. Warner, John W. Warner, and Larry H. Warner; 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey Grove, Melissa Corbett, Randy Warner and Rhett Warner; 7 brothers and 1 sister. Viewings will be on Tuesday, October 11th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion and on Wed., Oct. 12th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Cross Roads U.M. Church ; 6881 Church Road Felton, PA 17322. A Service of Honor and Praise for Mabel will be held on Wed., October 12th at 11:00 a.m. at the church with her pastor, Rev. Michael G. Trimmer, officiating. Burial will be at Cross Roads UM Cemetery. Family and Friends are invited to attend a luncheon after the service in the fellowship hall at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mabel may be offered to: Leukemia Society of American Inc., Central PA Chapter; 298 S. Progress Ave., Harrisburg, PA or Crossroads UM Flower Fund.
