Marcelene "Marcy" M. (Arnold) Keener, formerly of Wrightsville, entered in rest after a lengthy illness on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 6:45 am at Misericordia Nursing Home at the age of 88. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Keener who passed away on April 22, 2005. She was born on December 14, 1928 in Red Lion and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Florence (Haugh) Arnold. She was raised by her grandparents, Albert P. Haugh and Irene E. Haugh Gipe. Marcy worked at the Autokraft Box Corporation in Springvale, retiring in 1971 after many years of service and prior to that she worked at the House of Windsor Cigar Company for many years. She was a member of the AARP and was very active at the Susquehanna Senior Center. Marcy going to the mountains and camping and playing bingo. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She leaves two sons, Thomas R. Keener and his wife Kathy of Dallastown and Larry G. Keener and his wife Cheryl of Felton and a daughter, Diane Lamparter and husband John of Lancaster. 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Two sisters, Evelyn Neff of Red Lion and Alice Redifer of York along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ella Bailey . Viewing will be on Tuesday, May 2nd from 10 – 11 AM at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Marcy will begin at 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Otto A. Mazzoni, Chaplain of The Haven at Springwood, officiating. Burial will follow at Red Lion Cemetery. Marcy was a wonderful mother, and grandmother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to: Susquehanna Senior Center, 2427 Craley Road, Wrightsville, PA 17368.
