Nancy M. (Wallace) Nishwitz

October 27, 1933 - February 8, 2018

Nancy M. (Wallace) Nishwitz entered into rest unexpectedly on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 5:50 a.m. at Manor Care York South at the age of 84. She was born in Craley on October 27, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Grant M. and Minnie M. (Zarfoss) Wallace. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her former husband, Karl E. Nishwitz of Spring Grove and her two daughters, Lynette R. Ehrhart and her husband Darryl of York, and Julie E. Nishwitz of Dover. Nancy was a very loving grandmother to Nicole Vangreen of Dallastown, and Jacob Nishwitz of Maryland and great grandmother of four, Kayla Patterson of Dallastown, and Krista Gohn of Red Lion, Josie Nishwitz and Lydia Nishwitz both of Maryland; as well as a great great grandmother to Isabella Gohn, Jasper Gohn, Kole Patterson, and Mia Williams. She has two sisters, Patricia Rittenhouse of Red Lion and Jean Hawkins of Red Lion, along with numerous nieces and nephews who adored her. Nancy was preceded in death by her two sons, Jack D. Nishwitz on April 22, 2004 and Bradley J. Nishwitz on August 13, 2013, as well as seven other siblings. There will be no viewing. A Service of Honor and Praise will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 7 pm at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Family and friends are invited to extend their condolences between 6 and 7 pm at the funeral home. Rev. Steven A. Schmuck, pastor of Red Lion Bible Church will officiate. Nancy was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who cherished her family and loved spending time with them. She was an avid bowler and loved going on vacation. A big heartfelt "Thank You" goes out to ManorCare York South and Heartland Hospice for their caring and thoughtful staff! In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to: ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION, 2595 Interstate Dr. ,Suite 100 Harrisburg, PA 17110.
